1. After logging in, verify points balance and look for a hotel that can be covered by your points balance

2. After selecting your hotel, room and how many nights you will be staying for, go to checkout and scroll down get to the payment method and guest information section.

3. Replace the owner's card with your card that has enough funds to cover the security deposit (you will not be charged)

(OPTIONAL) - Change email in guest information to receive confirmation OR email bomb owner's email after confirmation

4. After booking the room, call Marriott customer support (+1-800-627-7468 for U.S. & Canada) and skip the voice-to-text response bot by pressing "0" on keypad until it transfers you to someone

5. Once you connect with someone, tell them something like "I am trying to book a room for my nephew with my rewards points but I couldn't add him as a guest." Ask them if they can cancel the reservation & rebook for whoever you told them.

6. They will ask you for the name, email address and most recent stay on the account. Once they verify the information, they will proceed to ask you about the stay you wanted to book (name, card, nights, etc.) and the new reservation will appear on the account
